Foundations Fast – Building Foundations. Restoring Lives.
Our Mission
At Foundations for Christ, we restore hope and dignity by building strong foundations—physically, through stable housing; in health, through healthy environments; and spiritually, by training pastors to rightly handle the Word of God. Through Christ-centered service, we empower people to rise above hardship and build lives of purpose.
Our Vision
A world where every person has a firm foundation—physically, spiritually, and emotionally—so they can walk in dignity and purpose.
Our Purpose
We believe no one should be trapped by preventable hardships—whether it’s children suffering from preventable health risks, families living on dirt floors, or men struggling to rebuild after homelessness or incarceration. By providing stable foundations—both physically and spiritually—we empower people to rise above their circumstances and build a future filled with hope.
The 168-Hour Hunger Challenge
For seven days, I will go without food—no meals, no snacks, just water. That’s 168 hours of fasting, not for weight loss or endurance, but for something far greater.
Jesus said in Matthew 5:6, “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.” But do we truly understand what it means to hunger for righteousness? To crave God’s presence and His will in our lives more than we crave the comforts of this world?
This fast is about experiencing that hunger—physically, mentally, and spiritually. And while I do, it’s also about standing in the gap for those in need.
Why This Fast Matters
Hunger is real—not just for food, but for hope, healing, and transformation. Through Foundations for Christ, we are raising funds to support ministries that bring real change:
- Healthy Floors Initiative – Installing durable floors for families in East Africa who live on dirt, reducing disease and improving quality of life.
- Healthy Environments & Prevention – Providing relief for those suffering from parasitic infestations that cause pain, infection, and disability.
- Transitional Housing & Mentorship – Offering a fresh start for men leaving incarceration through the Starting Over program, which provides housing, job training, and spiritual mentorship.
This fast isn’t just about going without food—it’s about using that sacrifice to fuel real impact.
How You Can Be Part of It
You can sponsor hours of my fast, turning hunger into transformation. Every hour I go without food represents an opportunity to help those in need.
- $1 per hour sponsors my fast and funds these ministries.
- $1,000 unlocks “Daily Bread” – I fast for an extra day.
- $5,000 unlocks “Double Down” – I fast for another full week.
As the challenge progresses, I will be sharing live updates, documenting the journey, and reflecting on what it means to truly hunger and thirst for righteousness.
